New ITV2 comedy

ITV2 has released the first trailer for time-travel comedy Timewasters.

The six-part series is written and created by Daniel Lawrence Taylor and revolves around a struggling four-piece South London jazz band who travel back in time to the 1920’ via a urine-sodden lift in a dilapidated block of flats

 He also stars alongside Kadiff Kirwan, Adelayo Adedayo and Samson Kayo.

Lawrence Taylor said: 'You don’t see that many black people in period dramas, or in time machines, so I thought I’d try to write about both.'

The comedy launches on ITV2 next month.
