Remake out this month

A new clip has been released of the remake of Whisky Galore! starring Eddie Izzard.

In it, Izzard plays a commander investigating the malt whisky plundered from a ship that ran aground in Scotland in the middle of wartime rationing.

It also features Rab C Nesbitt star Gregor Fisher as well as James Cosmo, Kevin Guthrie, Ellie Kendrick, Naomi Battrick and Sean Biggerstaff.

The remake if the 1949 Ealing comedy is based on the real-life story of the SS Politician, which ran aground in the Hebrides eight years earlier, and is released in Scotland tomorrow and the rest of the UK on May 19.
