With Julian Barratt and Kenneth Branagh

Here's the first preview clip of Mindhorn, starring Julian Barratt as a washed-up actor who was once famous for an Eighties detective show.

The clip shows his character, Richard Thorncroft, giving an unconventional audition for Kenneth Branagh.

Mindhorn also stars Simon Farnaby, who co-wrote the script with Barratt, alongside Essie Davis, Russell Tovey, Andrea Riseborough, Jessica Barden, Harriet Walter and Steve Coogan.

 The film will be in UK cinemas on May 5.
