Two years ago, this bold Japanese female comedian leapt to New York, ready to reveal the truths about Japanese women and society while empowering survivors and shattering stereotypes. Kilara, a hikikomori (shut-in) survivor and HBCU (American black college) alumna, also takes on harassment by another symbol of Japanese power: the middle-aged man.
