Game old trout, ancient heckler and exuberant enthusiast for all things Scottish, Miss Myrtle Throgmorton OBE (pending) is mad-rabbiting on about the delights of a long life – giddy aunts, Burns, beards, Creamola Foam, zimmer zumba and much else. More sit-down than stand-up, Myrtle’s maturity is complemented by the youthful vigour of pianist Richard Bailey and baritone Colin Brockie. And there’s a daily, delightful surprise guest with the after-dinner mints. Miss Throgmorton, the original bag-for-life, appears by arrangement with Jennie Chalmers, supported by Mary Williams and sturdy gussets. 'Very, very funny’ (STV).
