‘Gloriously inventive’ (Chortle.co.uk). Gerry Howell originally intended to perform a play about a comedian struggling to write a show. But things have changed. Gerry’s life imploded, his girlfriend left him and he’s worried he’s lost his sense of humour. James Joyce once said ‘a man of genius makes no mistakes. His errors are volitional, portals of discovery’. Now Gerry is making the potentially huge mistake of bringing to Edinburgh a show that bears no relation to his blurb in the Fringe Programme. Let’s hope he’s some kind of genius. Or no-one has read the Programme.
