Nick Hayman: Middle Aged, Useless And Talented
Show type: Edinburgh Fringe 2012
Show type: Edinburgh Fringe 2012
One man comedy show bringing together stand-up comedy, satirical songs, comic instrumental performance, musical slapstick and clowning. A surreal combination in the tradition of Norman Wisdom, Les Dawson and Tommy Cooper but completely modern at the same time. An hour long family show that laughs and cries at success and failure. Visual comedy with poignant moments of ambiguity. Should you laugh or should you cry? A singing clown playing the trombone making jokes about truth, reality, lies and deception. Squeezing laughter out of tension with a piano accordion. Mistaking fact for fiction in stand-up confusion.
A spectrum of emotions beginning and ending with laughter.
