Review by Steve Bennett

This warm, down-to-earth Irishwoman is a fine spinner of stories, expertly recounting incidents from her own life with a delightful charm and wit.

She's adept at bringing the characters who populate her stories to vivid life - including highlighting her own foibles - and infuses the self-deprecating material with a cheerful cynicism.

Her more observation riffs aren't so solidly assured, though, suggesting O'Kane is a comic who relies more on her personality than on killer material. But it works remarkably well, as she has likeability in spades.
