James Bench-Capon – Original Review

Review by Steve Bennett

This promising newcomer has some very neat ideas, adorned with some clever asides.

However, his subdued approach reduces his stage presence to almost nothing.

But those who persevered with him will find some excellent material inspired, original and delightfully off-key.

His unease on stage meant the laughs didn't match the innovation, and some of the material is weaker than others, but a sterling writer, certainly.
