Alfie Joey – Original Review
Note: This review is from 2002
At heart Alfie Joey is a good old-fashioned entertainer: with his spot-on impersonations and enthusiastic banter, he'd be right at home at a Royal Variety Performance.
The only differences is that his effusive bonhomie is genuine and his material original and funny.
However, this effusive North Easterner increasingly applying his impressive presentation techniques to the storytelling style favoured by the modern circuit, and seems equally at home with either format.
A cheerful and natural talent, Joey has plenty in his comedic bag of tricks to spread good cheer through any audience, which will surely keep him in demand.
