Steve Harris – Original Review

Review by Steve Bennett

Steve Harris has something for everyone, mixing as he does puns, musical comedy, observational humour and straightforward gags

It's a real crowd-pleasing comedy, straightforward and undemanding, and performed by in an assured, take-no-prisoners way.

The downside is that there's no real angle. Sometimes a nasty and misogynistic character comes to the fore, but that's really just a way of scoring some easy but effective gags at anyone's expense, and the real vibe's a lot more jolly.

And an honourable mention must go to his closing party piece - a human beatbox number that is mighty impressive, if utterly gratuitous.
