Henrik Elmer – Original Review

Review by Steve Bennett

Elmer puts many acts of similar standing to shame - and that's even before you consider he's performing in a second language.

This ice-cool Swede applies a uniquely twisted form of steely Nordic logic to observations about life's absurdities to produce an offbeat, but very funny, set.

His deadpan, studied manner heightens the effect of his comedy that's much better constructed than your average Ikea flat-pack.

Though a couple of the callback gags that bring the routine full circle are a little forced, the overall impression is of a consummate writer using his strong material to fine effect.
