Chris Brain – Original Review
Note: This review is from 2002
Brain (crazy name, crazy guy) is an ebullient Kiwi whose energising delivery elevates his material several divisions.
He lights up a room with an commanding stage presence that quickly diffuses into the audience, perfectly priming them for laughter.
Material, ranging from incisive topical gags to routines about blow jobs in a moving vehicle, is reasonably strong in itself, if not hugely memorable.
But it's the conviction of the performance that sweeps a crowd along into a current of easy-going laughter, making for a truly enjoyable set.
