Irene Pink – Original Review
Note: This review is from 2001
This Polynesian Islander proves popular with punters, thanks to an accomplished stage manner, but it is sometimes hard to work out exactly why she gets the laughs she does with what is often derivative subject matter topped with mediocre punchlines.
The set is not all so pedestrian, with a couple of more inventive segments and a smattering of decent gags suggesting unfulfilled potential that could, perhaps, be released should she choose to follow comedic roads less travelled.
But at the moment, although she's not especially bad, she's not especially good, either.
