Skitters
Note: This review is from 2000
This is certainly a triumph of quantity over quality.
Eight comedians all given 12 months to come up with an entertaining sketch show might be expected, if only under the monkey/typewriter theory, to come up with at least a few half-decent lines.
Yet this Scottish sketch troupe, which almost outnumbered the audience, failed to generate any genuine laughs, even with the home advantage.
Hammy acting and even hammier writing gave this the distinct feel of a substandard student revue, even though the protagonists are old enough to know better.
Dated, half-cocked ideas of the 'what if Spiderman was to go into a job centre' variety predictably fizzled out as the unfunny cavalcade of cliched characters continued.
What a waste of manpower
