Shamed comic announces gigs in Kiev...

It isn’t be the first time Louis CK has shown some bad judgement…

But the comic who was shamed for his misconduct has just confirmed a raft of European dates – including Kiev on February 25 and 26.

In a mailout to fans he said: ‘In terms of  Ukraine.  I really want to do these shows and I will if I can.  Obviously that’s a… situation.  

‘We are keeping in touch with the folks there and monitoring things and… just kind of waiting to see what it looks like closer to the date.  

‘But my intention is to do the shows if it’s at all possible.  I will do my best to be there and I hope it works out.   So let’s see what happens.’

However the odds are increasingly stacked against the shows in the  capital’s Palace Theatre.

Yesterday, the US State Department issued a level 4 travel advisory to the country sayyng: ‘Do not travel to Ukraine due to the increased threats of Russian military action… those in Ukraine should depart immediately via commercial or private means.

‘If remaining in Ukraine, exercise increased caution due to crime, civil unrest, and potential combat operations should Russia take military action.’

Such a ‘do not travel’ order usually makes insurance almost impossible to obtain.

CK’s European dates don’t include the UK, but he will also visit Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Romania, Italy, Sweedn and the Netherlands between now and June.  

PS: Twitter’s algorithm’s clearly don’t know what to make of CK. Today it recommended to us accounts similar to his – topped by the French railway system!
