Duo's £267,000 windfall as they wind up company

comedyDawn French and Jennifer Saunders are sharing a £267,300 windfall after winding up one of their companies.

Saunders and French Productions was set up in 1992 to handle some of their earnings – but Companies House documents show the company went into voluntary liquidation last month.

In winding the company up, the comics declared it was solvent and would be able to pay any debts, leaving £267,273 to be shared out.

The pair were directors of the company along with their agent, Maureen Vincent.  Jon Plowman, the producer of their TV shows, was previously a director, too, but stepped down in the summer.

French and Saunders are to star in a new Radio 4  comedy, What Ever Happened to Baby Jane Austen? over Christmas, having recently reunited for the Audible podcast Titting About.
