Sold for less than he paid for it

Matt Lucas has sold his home in the Hollywood Hills – but a a £250,000 loss.

The comic bought the sprawling four-bedroom house, with swimming pool, pizza ovens and sweeping staircase for  $3.043 million two years ago.

But the Los Angeles times reports that the comedian has now sold it for $2.725 million.

The newspaper suggests he owned the home as an investment property as last year, he put it up for rent at $16,500 a month.

But although he took a hit on this house, he made around $2 million profit on the last property he owned in the city.
