He’s more about punchlines than pirouettes – but it seems that James Acaster has written a bestselling book about ballet.

Bizarrely, the comic’s new tome Perfect Sound Whatever is currently listed as No1 in the charts for the ‘ballet biography’ genre on Amazon:

Needless to say, it’s not about dancing but instead covers his obsessive collecting of albums released in 2016.

In fact, comedians seem remarkably adept at writing ballet biographies according to the online retailer. 

The top 30 ballet biographies also include books by Jo Brand, Trevor Noah, Barry Cryer and Jack Whitehall and Sue Perkins.
