Wanted: Someone to travel the world seeking out the finest stand-ups

It would be a dream job for any comedy fan – scouring the globe for the best new stand-up talent on behalf of one of the world’s biggest festivals.

Yet that opportunity is now a reality, thanks to Montreal’s Just For Laughs.

The 35-year-old festival has just posted an advert for an international comedy programmer, who’s job would be to scout all comedy talent everywhere beyond North America and put together the international comics for all the festivals, TV projects and tours the company runs.

It’s not a position for newcomers, though, as the successful candidate will have to have an already strong relationships with the comedy industry and several years’ experience of programming live comedy.
