Shooting gets under way in LA

Comics Patton Oswalt and Aaron Chen, pictured, have joined the cast of the new pickleball comedy film The Dink.

Also joining the project are Saturday Night Live cast member Chloe Fineman  Chris Parnell (Dr Leo Spaceman on 30 Rock_ and seven-time Grand Slam tennis champion John McEnroe.

The Dink follows a washed-up tennis pro who, in trying to save a club in crisis and win his father’s respect, is forced to do the one thing he swore he’d never do: play pickleball.

The new cast members join New Girl’s Jake Johnson, as well as Mary Steenburgen, Ed Harris, Ben Stiller, and Andy Roddick. all of whom were previously announced. 

 Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar director Josh Greenbaum is directing, from a script by Workaholics writer Sean Clements .

Production kicked off in Los Angeles  yesterday, Hollywood trade press have announced.
