Sky to air The Man Who Imagined Our Future

Sky is to air a new documentary about Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy creator Douglas Adams.

The Man Who Imagined Our Future looks into the comedy writer’s visionary approach to technology and environmentalism.

While Adams feared for endangered species and t climate change, he was optimistic about the possibilities that computers will bring.

Film-makers Bohemia Films say:  ‘Obsessed with the art of writing, while exploring parallel dimensions and artificial intelligence, his philosophy and ideas are meaningful, and visionary. ‘

The 105-minute film features interviews with family and friends including comedians Stephen Fry, Griff Rhys Jones, Robin Ince, producer and former flatmate John Lloyd, writer Jon Canter and conservationist Mark Carwardine.

Directed by Todd Austin, the film will air on Sky Arts at 8pm on March 27.
