Hayley Ellis, Phil Elis, Robin Morgan and Rosco McClelland have all been nominated for best compere in this year’s Chortle Awards, we can reveal.
Shortlists in this year’s accolades, supported by Ticketmaster, are being announced across the day, with the following categories revealed earlier:

The nominees were chosen by a panel of industry experts and will be put to a public vote from around 3.45pm this afternoon once all the categories have been announced.
Polls close on Friday next week and the winners will be unveiled at a London ceremony on March 17, hosted by Kiell Smith-Bynoe and Desiree Burch.
Last year’s victors included Taskmaster, Joe Lycett, James Acaster and Kiri Pritchard-McLean. All previous Chortle Award winners are listed here.
