Chortle Awards names the year's best comedy podcasts

Shortlists keep coming!

Five podcasts have been shortlisted in this year’s Chortle Awards, supported by Ticketmaster.

They are:  

• Brainwash Me with Poppy Hilstead
• Glue Factory with Milo Edwards, Olga Koch, Pierre Novellie and Riley 
• Here Comes The Guillotine with Frankie Boyle, Susie McCabe and Christopher MacArthur-Boyd 
•  Single Ladies In Your Area with Amy Gledhill and Harriet Kemsley
•  Trusty Hogs podcast with Catherine Bohart & Helen Bauer

It is the latest category to be announced today, with the following categories revealed earlier:

The nominees were chosen by a panel of industry experts and will be put to a public vote from around 3.45pm this afternoon once all the categories have been announced.  

Polls close on Friday next week and the winners will be unveiled at a London ceremony on March 17, hosted by Kiell Smith-Bynoe and Desiree Burch.

Last year’s victors included Taskmaster, Joe Lycett, James Acaster  and  Kiri Pritchard-McLean. All previous Chortle Award winners are listed here.
