Ghosts star vows to 'Make Improv Kool Again'

Ghosts and Taskmaster star Kiell Smith-Bynoe is taking his improvised comedy show Kool Story Bro on the road.

A cast of familiar comedy names will be joining him on the 15-date tour including Starstruck’s Lola-Rose Maxwell and Nic Sampson and fellow Taskmaster contestant  Emma Sidi.

The show, which shares its stars initials, has previously been performed in London and Brighton as well as the Edinburgh Fringe, with guests that have included Lily Allen, Jamie Demetriou, Mo Gilligan and his Ghosts co-star Charlotte Ritchie.

Smith-Bynoe – who also fronts The Great British Sewing Bee – said today: ‘I've been trying to push the slogan Make Improv Kool Again but apparently that "doesn't have a ring to it".

‘I'm very excited to take Kool Story Bro on tour around the country and bring the audience's stories to life, joined by the best improvisers on the world (it is ‘on’, think about it) and some huge special guest hosts from the world of TV. 

‘I'm also just really looking forward to sleeping in different Premier Inns. Lenny Henry makes it look proper comfortable.’

The rotating tour cast – who spin unscripted sketches out of the audience’s weirdest and wildest anecdotes – also include Austentatious’s Graham Dickson, Big Boys’ Robert Gilbert, and Emily Lloyd-Saini and Anna Leong Brophy, who together are the Egg double act.

Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday.
