Book deal for Vogue Williams
Model turned comedy podcaster Vogue Williams has written her memoir.
Big Mouth will be published in May and covers ‘divorce [she was previously married to Westlife’s Brian McFadden], anxiety, family life, botox, ghosts and her latest husband, alongside important life lessons such as how to sellotape a bottle of vodka to your inner thigh on a night out’.
Williams started out modelling burgers on a Dublin main street before becoming a broadcast and co-host of the hit podcast My Therapist Ghosted Me with Joanne McNally. It has three million monthly listeners and spawned its own live tour.
Ajda Vucicevic, publishing director of HarperCollins, told trade website The Bookseller: ‘Quite simply, I am Vogue’s number one fan, so when she finally said yes to the book I was over the moon. Having now read it, I am beyond the moon and back again with excitement and anticipation.
‘It’s raw, it’s candid, it’s extremely funny and everything you want it to be. I cannot wait for us to share it with the world. It’s going to be a riot."
Williams added: ‘From modelling burgers on a Dublin main street to taking three hour bathroom naps on a night out… I really, genuinely thought I was normal till I wrote it all down!
‘People always wonder what I do. Now I can tell them I’m an author.
Vogue Williams’s Big Mouth can be ordered now from Amazon, priced £20 in hardback, £12.99 on Kindle, or £7.99 on audio – or from uk.bookshop.org, below, which supports independent bookstores.
