LONDON: Absolute Radio Live is the station's big fundraiser, in aid of the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Charity. Those on the bill include Matt Forde, who got such excellent care at the hospital during his cancer treatment, as well as Glenn Moore, Jon Richardson, Josh Widdicombe and Suzi Ruffell. Tickets.

LIVERPOOL: British-Greek comic George Zacharopoulos begins a short tour of The Right Swipe That Ruined My Life at the Hot Water comedy club. The show is real-life story of a dating app experience gone horribly wrong – a light-hearted comedy about modern dating that turns into a rollercoaster of shocking twists. George Zacharopoulos tour dates

LEICESTER: There's a fine line-up at the Laughing Out Loud gig at the Y Theatre tonight. Pun king Gary Delaney, offbeat Josh Pugh, astute commentator Nabil Abdulrashid, and put-upon everyman Scott Bennett make up the top-flight bill.

Monday November 18

LONDON Mr Swallow – the irritating but enthusiastic alter-ego of Ted Lasso star Mr Mohammed – brings his very distinctive, and quite bonkers. staging of A Christmas Carol to the @sohotheate, right through to New Year's Eve. He's joined by regular collaborators David Elms and Kieran Hodgson plus new recruit Martha Howe-Douglas, of Ghosts fame. Tickets.

LONDON: In her stand-up show at the Soho Theatre this week, US comedian Zainab Johnson explores her identity as a black female Muslim with 13 siblings, growing up in Harlem, gun ownership and her toxic trait: optimism. Also at the venue this week are Zack Zucker's super-intense, super-desperate alter-ego Jack Tucker, Natalaie Palamdies' over-the-top 1990s romcom parody Weer and powerhouse stand-up Paddy Young.

Tuesday November 19

CHATHAM: Rob Beckett's having a Giraffe. That's the name of his new stand-up tour, which kicks off tonight and runs all the way to early 2026, where it enjoys a run at the London Palladium. In an interview about the show, he's said: 'You’ll come to the show, laugh, then leave. There’s no big message. I don’t get how comics write about these mad hot topics. I write whatever makes me laugh, basically. Comedians aren’t as important or influential as we like to think. We’re a Chinese takeaway, a pint at the pub, a distraction from life.' Rob Beckett tour dates

Thursday November 21

LONDON: After 77 gigs, comedy producers Country Mile are winding up their much-liked comedy club for an 'indefinite hiatus'. Gracing the mic at the Star Of Kings in Kings Cross tonight are Ania Magliano, Jazz Emu, John Tothill and many more from the up-and-coming generation of comedy stars.

LONDON: There's also another typically strong line-up at Knock2Bag at the Moth Club in Hackney, featuring Jordan Brookes, Lara Ricote, Ray Badran, Spencer Jones and Vittorio Angelone.

HARPENDEN: And a treat at the Eric Moercambe centre as eloquent grouch Dylan Moran is joined by an impressive supporting bill of Ian Smith, Amy Matthews and Darran Griffiths.

Friday November 22

GLASGOW: Paul Black goes from the Edinburgh Fringe to the SEC Armadillo for this one-night-only hometown performance of his show All Sorts, mixing stand-up with the sort of sketches that have proved such a hit online. Tickets
