SUE PERKINS' BIG ADVENTURE: PARIS TO ISTANBUL: The comedian embarks on a quirky adventure along the legendary route of the iconic Orient Express. In the first episode she samples gourmet insects crafted by a world-class chef; gets a little tipsy on absinthe; and finds her place as a catwalk model in Paris Fashion Week.Channel 4, 9.15pm

Friday November 8

JUNIOR TASKMASTER: The first of 25 youngsters aged between nine and 11 try to impress Junior Taskmaster Rose Matafeo and her assistant Mike Wozniak in this new spin-off. In heat one Anita, Lazer, Nyarah, Persia and Reuben sniff mashed potato and throw a plethora of items into a large hat, in the hope of making it through to the semi-finals. HAVE I GOT NEWS FOR YOU: Roy Wood, who hosts CNN's new American version of the show, takes the central seat in the show ths week to unpick all that happened in the US election. Joining him are Richard Osman and Roisin Conaty. BBC One, 9pm

THE LAST LEG: The US election is also sure to come under discussion here as Adam Hills, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker are joined by Frankie Boyle and Desiree Burch. Channel 4, 10pm
