Coopers assemble!
Charlie Cooper is to guest star in the next series of Am I Being Unreasonable?, marking the first time he has acted alongside his sister Daisy May since This Country.
Also announced as guest stars in the forthcoming second series are Brooklyn Nine-Nine star and stand up Chelsea Peretti, King Gary’s Tom Davis, comic Jamali Maddix, Queer as Folk’s Denise Black and rapper and poet Kojey Radical.
Exact details of their roles in the Bafta-winning comedy have not yet been revealed.
Written by Daisy May Cooper and Selin Hizli – who play mum Nic and her untrustworthy best friend Jen, both abboice – the second series will also see Lenny Rush reprise his role as Nic’s son Ollie.
Cooper said: ‘If you thought Lenny Rush's Bafta-winning performance upstaged me in series one, wait until you see his performance completely upstage me in series two where you will be left wondering whether I was even in it at all... livid.’
Other stars reprising their roles include Dustin Demri-Burns as Nic’s husband Dan as well as, David Fynn, Juliet Cowan, Phil Dunning, Georgie Glenn, Beatie Edney, Amanda Wilkin, Helen Bauer, Marek Larwood and Karla Crome.
Filmed in Bristol and the West Country, series two is set to air on BBC One next year as well as SBS in Australia and TVNZ in New Zealand.
Hizli said: ‘God bless the BBC and everyone involved for letting us have another twisted turn at this sometimes dark, sometimes funny and always mad story. It’s been a joy and a privilege to get back into the world of AIBU and we hope everyone loves watching it as much as we’ve loved making it.’
The first series of Am I Being Unreasonable? launched with 3.2million viewers for the first episode in September 2022. It is still available on BBC iPlayer.
