Rob Beckett announces a new tour, Giraffe
Rob Beckett has announced a major tour stretching through to early 2026 - which will also be taped as a special.
The comic and podcaster launches his show Giraffe, kicks off in Chatham in November and runs for 59 dates, ending in a two-night run at the London Palladium, which will be filmed.
The comic said: ‘This is gonna be a big old tour. It’ll be tough being away from the family for a while.
‘Don’t get me wrong I love my children/podcast content providers but I do also enjoy a lie-in and a hotel buffet breakfast. So I’m sure I’ll cope.
‘I expect to put on about 3 stone from takeaways and drinking after the shows.’
The news coincides with the launch of Beckett’s new Sky Max panel show – Smart TV - next Thursday . It also features team captains Alison Hammond and Josh Widdicombe.
No details of the content of Giraffe - slang for ‘laugh’ – have been released, save for the promise Beckett will make his audiences ‘laugh and forget about their problems for a couple of hours’.
Many tickets go on sale at 11am tomorrow, and on general release at 11am on Friday.
Beckett stated out in comedy 15 years ago and now has a hit podcast, Parenting Hell, with Widdicombe - which also spawned a spin-off book – hosts his own Radio 2 show and co-presents Sky’s Rob And Romesh Vs.
