DEON COLE: CHARLEEN’S BOY: It’s the second Netflix comedy special from the Black-ish star. In the show, which is dedicated to his late mother, Cole shares his advice on how to navigate life and dating in today’s society.

Wednesday November 16

OUTSIDERS: David Mitchell returns to challenge three pairs of comedians to spend a week living in a forest learning new life skills – while he enjoys home comforts – to see which of them can best survive in the wild and build a new postapocalyptic society. This series features Maisie Adam, Fatiha El-Ghorri (pictured), Darren Harriott, Jessica Hynes, Phil Wang and Joe Wilkinson out in the wild. Dave, 10pm

ROB AND ROMESH VS THE THREE LIONS: In this special edition of Rob and Romesh Vs, Mssrs Beckett and Ranganathan will meet the stars of the England men’s football team ahead of the World Cup in dodgy old Qatar. As well as hanging out with the England stars, they will also meet coach Gareth Southgate. Sky Max, 9pm.

THE Horne Section TV SHOW: Following its streaming launch on all 4 this new sitcom written by and starring Alex Horne and his band gets a linear broadcast slot.  Tired of being the little assistant on Taskmaster, Alex Horne finally has the chance to pitch his very own TV show to Channel 4 – a talk show set in his house. Co-stars include Greg Davies as himself and Desiree Burch as a friend of Horne’s wife roped in to produce the show. Review. Channel 4, 10.35pm

Friday November 18

THE LAST LEG Adam Hills, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker return for a 26th series with this week's guests Peter Crouch, AJ Odudu and Rose Ayling-Ellis. And immediately afterwards, the Big Narstie show features Aisling Bea, actors Stephen Graham and Paul Mescal and social media star Nella Rose. Channel 4, 10pm
