Edinburgh Fringe: Another 513 shows go on sale

Including Frankie Boyle, Omid Djalili and Lou Sanders

Another 513 Edinburgh Fringe shows have gone on  sale today, including offerings from Monkey Barrel, The Stand, Just The Tonic and the Scottish Comedy Festival.

Many of the shows have already been announced, with Pleasance, Underbelly and Gilded Balloon revealing their latest additions yesterday.

This is the second set of tickets to be released for 2022, following the first 283 shows revealed in March.

In total, there are 796 shows now available, with more set to be announced on Thursday May 5 - which will comprise the majority of the programme - and Thursday June 9. The official programme launch will take place on Thursday July 7.

As previously announced, Monkey Barrel’s stand-up roster  includes Taskmaster winner Lou Sanders along with Catherine Bohart, Sofie Hagen, Liam Withnail  and Christopher Macarthur- Boyd.

The Stand is home to Paul Sinha’s new show and Omid Djalili, whose blurb reads: ‘After experimental Zoom gigs where he got muted by 639 people... the multi award-winning comedian and actor is now where he belongs, on a stage."

Frankie Boyle is at Assembly with ‘a show largely about politics, satirising whichever new leaders emerge from the irradiated rubble’ while Nish Kumar unveils his  new show at the same venue, in which after ‘a period of upheaval and uncertainty with Covid and the political situation’  he promises to amaze audiences ‘by his capacity to somehow take all these things personally’

Daniel Sloss is at Just the Tonic and is doing a run of shows to work up some new material for his next tour, while Tom Stade is ‘trying to remember what was important before responsibility and fear got in the way’ in his show.

The Scottish Comedy Festival has a host of Scottish stand-up, including five-time Scottish Comedian of the Year finalist Ross Leslie and a set from Gary Little.

Laughing Horse is home to Nathan Cassidy, who presents ‘stand-up comedy on the death of the planet, the neglect of our leaders and the shield of blame from ourselves’.

PBH’s Free Fringe features Palindrome Fight!, which comprises five panelists, three audience suggestions, and thirty minutes of lurid palindrome history and standup comedy.
