Last semi-finalists confirmed

Joseph Lim has been voted through to the semi-finals of the Chortle Student Comedy Award.

The 22-year-old performed at the Southampton heat last month, where he is studying maths, and won the nationwide People's Choice vote last night

He describes his comedy as 'observational, racial, deadpan' and influenced by Josh Widdicombe, Jerry Seinfeld 'and awkward situations I've been in'.

Also announced today are the acts going through to the semi-final as judge's wildcards.

They are:

The semi-finals take place on the RS Hispaniola in Central London on May 8 and 9; with the final at Pleasance One at the Edinburgh Fringe on August 14.
