Pythons take £1million at cinemas
THE LIVE screening of Monty Python's farewell gig took £1.18 million at British cinemas on Sunday night, making it the No 4 box office draw of the weekend. It was shown on 514 screens across the UK. Meanwhile, Mrs Brown's Boys D'Movie is still No 6, in its fourth week on release, grossing a total of more than £13million so far.
WEIRD AL YANKOVIC has become the first comedian to top the Billboard album charts in 54 years. His 14th album, Mandatory Fun, debuted in the top spot after selling just over 100,000 copies in its first week. It is the first comedy chart-topper since The Button-Down Mind Of Bob Newhart in 1960. The new album features parodies of songs by Pharrell, Robin Thicke and Lorde.
