'I'm not getting comedians on!'

What Michael McIntyre said of his new talk show

Michael McIntyre has said he wont’t have fellow stand-ups on his new BBC One chat show – because he wants to provide the comedy himself.

The Sun reports that the comic poo-poohed the idea of sharing the laughs when running through some material in front of an audience at a London venue.

He joked that he had emailed lots of celebs but they hadn’t responded – so asked the audience for suggestions for good guests.

When one put forward ‘Micky Flanagan’, McIntyre reportedly said: ‘I am not getting comedians on the show! I am hoping to provide some of the comedy myself…

However he instantly added: ‘But I love Micky, I would love to have him on my show. Maybe I will.’

The Michael McIntyre Show is due to launch in March.
