...to talk about Peter Cook

Stephen Fry is to make an appearance at a stand-up show to sing the praises of his comedy hero, Peter Cook.

The star will be appearing at the recently revived Establishment Club – the satirical night originally set up by Cook in 1961 – later this month.

He will be in conversation with Keith Allen, who brought the club back with the backing of Cook’s widow Lin with the aim of presenting ‘comedy from radical, political, and anarchic performers, true to the original concept’.

 And a spokesman promised: ‘Keith will be asking some probing questions’ of Fry.

The bill at Ronnie Scott’s at 10.45pm on April 24 also includes dictatorial character act Jim Jong-Un, cabaret star Dickie Beau, and Scott Capurro as compere. Click here to buy tickets, priced £20.
