Episodes up for Golden Globes
Matt LeBlanc comedy Episodes is up for two Golden Globe awards.
The BBC-Showtime co-production, about the problems of adapting a hit British comedy for the US market, is up for best comedy series, while LeBlanc is up for best actor in a comedy series.
The other shows shortlisted for best comedy are The Big Bang Theory, Girls, Modern Family and Smash, a musical series about creating a Broadway show. Although a drama, it’s included because the Golden Globes lump comedy and musical shows together.
Also up for best actor in this category are Alec Baldwin for 30 Rock, Don Cheadle, for House of Lies, Louis CK for Louie and Jim Parsons for The Big Bang Theory.
And shortlisted for best actress are Tina Fey for 30 Rock, Zooey Deschanel for New Girl, Lena Dunham for Girls, Julia Louis-Dreyfus for Veep and Amy Poehler for Parks and Recreation
Modern Family stars Eric Stonesteet and Sofia Vergara are up for best supporting actor and actress in a TV series, which covers drama and comedy.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will co-host the Golden Globe Awards on January 14.
