Byrne pilots panel show

Jason Byrne is working on a new ITV panel show – based around embarrassing old pictures of celebrities.

He is taking part in a filmed run-through of Jason Byrne’s Photoshop later this month, although the idea is still in development.

Unusually for a show with his name in the title, Byrne is set to be a team captain, rather than the host.

The show – to be filmed in front of a studio audience – will reveal guests’ embarrassing photos, over rounds loosely based on the timeline of their lives.

Producers say: ‘We'll get a unique insight into famous folks' upbringings and candid moments of their lives.... and we get to laugh at them sporting ghastly 80's sweaters and car crash haircuts.’

The celebrity from the losing team will have their most embarrassing photograph shown in a very public place, such as Times Square or an advertising hoarding outside their teenager's school.

As well as this panel show, Byrne is working on adapting his Radio 2 family sitcom Father Figure into a BBC One sitcom.

The run-through of Jason Byrne’s Photoshop takes place at The ITV London Studios on the South Bank on the afternoon of November 21. See our free tickets page to be in the audience.
