Chris Tucker to tour the UK
Rush Hour movie star Chris Tucker is coming to the UK to perform a short stand-up tour.
The comic, who as a comic regularly featured on the Def Comedy Jam shows on the Nineties, is playing just three dates in November.
Tucker made the leap to prominence in 1995 film Friday alongside Ice Cube, and then appeared in Luc Besson’s The Fifth Element before the Rush Hour films. In 2006 he negotiated a $25 million deal to appear in Rush Hour 3, which at the time made him the highest paid actor in Hollywood.
However he has had no movie roles since then, and kept a low profile, only returning to stand-up last year.
He will play the Hammersmith Apollo on November 24, Birmingham Symphony Hall on November 26 and Manchester Apollo on November 28.
Meanwhile, he will make his big-screen comeback in The Silver Linings Playbook, alongside Robert De Niro, later this year, too.
Tickets for his UK dates will go on sale 9am this Friday.
