New sitcom for Inbetweeners star
Intbetweeners star Blake Harrison and stand-up Seann Walsh are to star in a new sitcom fro Comedy Central.
Big Bad World, as the series is provisionally called, will also star The Vicar Of Dibley’s James Fleet and Caroline Quentin, from Men Behaving Badly and Jonathan Creek, Rebecca Humphries from Come Fly With Me and David Fynn from Black Mirror,
Harrison plays a new graduate expected to take the world by storm, but instead finds himself back in his home town and with his old, pre-university friends.
Comedy Central has ordered eight episodes from production company Objective Productions following a pilot and the commission of five scripts.
Theu have been written by a team that includes by Lloyd Woolf, formerly of sketch troupe Cowards, Hyperdrive creators Kevin Cecil and Andy Riley and Joe Tucker, whose credits include Horrible Histories.
Comedy Central boss Jill Offman said: ‘Big Bad World’s exceptional scripts have attracted a fantastic cast who have become a group of funny and real characters that I know our growing audience will love.’
