West End Osho
Andi Osho has joined the cast of political comedy A Walk On Part as it transfers to the West End.
The show, which is based on the entertaining political diaries of former Sunderland Labour MP Chris Mullin, which chart his party’s fortunes from the death of John Smith to losing power at the 2010 election.
It opens at the Arts Theatre on June 19 for a month-long season following its success at the Live Theatre, Newcastle and London’s Soho Theatre.
Stand Up For The Week regular Osho will join an ensemble cast that includes John Hodgkinson, Hywel Morgan, Tracey Gillman and Joe Caffrey who will between them play more than 100 characters including Tony Benn, Cherie Blair, Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, George Osbourne, John Prescott and Clare Short.
This is not Osho’s first acting role, as she acted in fringe theatre before turning to comedy, including an acclaimed performance in the title role of Medea at Barons Court Theatre in 2005 and a starring role in the powerful drama Yellowman at Liverpool's Everyman Theatre in 2006.
