Ellie Taylor joins Snog, Marry, Avoid
Comedian Ellie Taylor is to be the new presenter of BBC Three reality show Snog, Marry, Avoid.
She takes over the ‘makeunder’ programme – which travels the country showing the benefits of losing the fake tan, eyelashes and hair – for its fifth series.
Taylor – a former model who appeared in ITV talent programme Show Me The Funny last year – tweeted: ‘Orange people of the UK beware! I'm dead chuffed to say I'll be presenting a brand news series of Snog Marry Avoid on BBC3 in the spring!’
She joins the series for ten half-hour episodes as it has a makeover of its own, with new graphics and audio for its POD (‘personal overhaul device’) which dishes out no-nonsense advice.
Colette Foster, managing director of producers Remarkable Television, said: ‘Ellie, with her kooky girl-next-door warmth, will inject a big dose of comedy into the show. We will scour the country for the most OTT looks and fans of the show will see some of the most dramatic make-unders yet.”
Calling Taylor ‘an exciting, new talent’, BBC commissioner Sam Bickley, added: ‘[She] brings a brand new comedy vibe to the format and a fun, big sister quality that will allow the extraordinary real life stories to emerge too.’
The show was previously hosted by Jenny Frost.
