Jack Dee pilots Sky panel show

Format based on audience banter

Jack Dee could be fronting his own comedy panel show for Sky Atlantic.

The Lead Balloon star last week made a pilot of the show called Don’t Sit In The Front Row, which will not be broadcast.

The format has the panel of comedians – who included Phill Jupitus for the pilot – shaping routines based on information gleaned from people in the front row of the audience.

Producers Citrus Television have been working on the idea for a while, with a version featuring Jo Brand being in development as long ago as April 2010. Other pilots were scheduled last year.

Dee previously made a pilot of a topical panel show called Us Vs Them for Sky1 last year, but the idea was not picked up.
