Irish hidden camera show heads to UK

C4 orders Naked Camera pilot

Irish hidden camera show Naked Camera is being remade for British audiences.

Stand-up PJ Gallagher is currently in Liverpool filming stunts for a Channel 4 pilot.

The show is being made by the same Dublin company, Scratch Films, which made three series for RTE2 from 2005 to 2007.

It features a number of recurring characters, most notably Jake Stevens, a chancer who wears a shiny blue suit.

Gallagher told the Irish Independent: ‘It's like a new beginning.’

‘I'm delighted for Jake. He's like a vampire coming back from the dead and after the UK lent Ireland three billion, I feel like we're giving them something back.’
