TV channel Dave is to launch an award for the best comedy club in the UK.

But the title will only be open to the 95 clubs involved in the company's two-for-one ticket promotion, which has been running since June.

It will be named the 'Dave's One Night Stand' award – to promote the stand-up show of the same name – and will launch on Monday.

Votes will be taken on Facebook, and promoted on the TV channel and on media partner Absolute Radio.
