E4 gets 'Dirty'

New 'bitchy' comedy show about celeb gossip

E4 is to launch a new late night comedy show offering a ‘bitchy’ take on the week’s celebrity news.

The eight-part series, Dirty Digest, will be presented by model and ITV Fashion Show presenter Michelle De Swarte, who also came up with the format.

Starting next month, it will be a mix of panel show chat, clips from the week, and filmed inserts from each of the panelists.

Regular contributors will be former BBC Switch presenter AJ Odudu and Dan Schreiber, a former QI researcher who co-created The Museum Of Everything with John Lloyd.

All the presenters are clients of John Noel Management, whose production arm Running Bare Pictures is making the show.

According to the programme’s blurb, ‘they’ll be dissecting the week’s celebrity news in a bitchy, no-holds-barred celebration of the trashy tabloid stars we all hold so dear. There’ll be outrageous opinions, startling revelations and plenty of laughs’.

The show will be recorded in front of a studio audience, who will be plied with free drink before the taping to get them in the mood.
