Fast show duo to tour UK

...for a History channel travelogue

Fast Show stars Simon Day and John Thomson are to tour the UK in a new series for the History channel.

No County For Old Men will play on the north-south divide between the comics as they examine the peculiar characteristics of Britain’s counties

Over the eight-part series they will visit Cornwall, Cumberland, Surrey, Suffolk, Herefordshire and Carmarthenshire, among others.

Adam MacDonald, vice-president of programming for History owner AETN, called it a ‘comedic peregrination’ that will ‘show how our history is alive and evolving all around us’.

Paul Sommers, from production company Alaska, added: ‘Simon and John’s infectious friendship and hilarious on and off screen relationship gives No County For Old Men a really unique flavour that will be central to the series.’

Sommers’s business parter in Alaska, Chris Fouracre, was at primary school with Simon Day.

The series is expected to air in April 2012.
