A team of comedians have defeated a professional soccer club for the first time in 17 years of Fringe challenges.
The comics defeated Scottish second division side Stenhousemuir 2-1 in their traditional annual clash, thanks to two goals from New Zealand comic Nick Rado, pictured.
The comedian’s team also included Joe Bor, Luke McQueen, Daniel Sloss, Aiden Bishop, Ian Smith, Tom Rosenthal, Kai Humphries, Gavin Webster, Matt and Lee from Late Night Gimp Fight.
The victory means the comedy team’s stats now stand at played 17, won 1, drawn 1, lost 15.
At a football match earlier in the festival, critics beat comedians 7-3.
And tomorrow, comedians will take part in a different sporting challenge at the Fringe, taking on the rest of the industry in golf match in memory of late comic Mackenzie Taylor.
On the comics’ team are Carl Donnelly, Fred MacAulay, Chris Martin ,Tom Price , Alan Francis and Alex Horne, while the rest will be Evening Standard critic Bruce Dessau, Pleasance boss Anthony Alderson, promoters Mick Perrin and Tim Payne and agent Richard Bucknall.
