Starlings roost at Sky 1

New comedy from Peep Show's Matt King

Peep Show star Matt King has written a new Sky One comedy-drama about a dysfunctional family.

The actor/comedian, who plays Super Hans in the Channel 4 sitcom, has created the eight-part Starlings with Phoenix Nights star Steve Edge.

King previously co-wrote the Alan Davies restaurant-set sitcom Whites, which BBC Two axed after one series.

Starlings is being made by leading comedy production house Baby Cow, whose credits include Gavin & Stacey, The Trip, Ideal and The Mighty Boosh, and will be directed by Matt Lipsey, who previously worked on Psychoville and Little Britain, along with Tony Dow.

The stars will be announced later this week.
