Louis CK up for three Emmys
Louis CK has been nominated for three Emmy Awards.
The comic was nominated for best actor in a comedy for his self-titled American sitcom, and in two writing categories – for the TV show and his stand-up special Hilarious.
However, he doesn’t hold out much hope of winning - especially the acting award, where he is up against Matt Le Blanc in Episodes and Steve Carell for The Office, Alec Baldwin from 30 Rock and Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki from The Big Bang Theory.
‘I'm pretty outclassed there,’ he said. I'm not serious consideration.’
Other shows up for the comedy writing award are Episodes, Modern Family, The Office and 30 Rock.
While in the category for outstanding writing For A Variety, Music Or Comedy Special, CK’s stand-up special is listed alongside Colin Quinn: Long Story Short, Night Of Too Many Stars: An Overbooked Benefit For Autism Education, The Real Women Of SNL and the Tony Awards.
But Louis didn’t make the shortlist for Outstanding Comedy Series, though, where the contenders are The Big Bang Theory, Glee, Modern Family, The Office, Parks And Recreation and 30 Rock
The nominations for best actress in a comedy are Tina Fey for 30 Rock, Laura Linney for The Big C, Melissa McCarthy for Mike & Molly, Edie Falco for Nurse Jackie, Amy Poehler for Parks And Recreation, Martha Plimpton for Raising Hope.
